Why Trash A Dress?
There are a few reasons why a bride might want to trash a wedding dress and to give you inspiration, I have a few examples of why brides have chosen Preloved Panache for their wedding gown:
1. The bride is marrying on a glacier in New Zealand and she doesn't want to worry about wrecking an expensive wedding gown but still wants to look amazing!
2. The bride and groom are having pre-wedding photo's taken at the beach in wedding attire for their invitations. The bride wears a wedding gown to trash and the groom gets his suit (and mullet wig) from Vinnies - 80's style! The bride arrives to the wedding in a totally different style of wedding gown on the big day which adds to the fun and personalisation of their day!
3. The bride and groom decided to have a second photo session after their wedding day was rained out where they weren't able to have many outdoor shots taken on the big day. It was a great opportunity to get the bridal party back together for some fun without the stress of the big day. The bride and groom organised a picnic, formal shots in 'the' wedding gown and then changed into the trashing wedding dress for the fun shots. The bridesmaids were also keen to trash their dresses because lets face it, who wears their bridemaids gown again!

Generally, after the honeymoon, the couple books in with a photographer and/or a videographer and go swimming at the beach - in their wedding attire! I have to say, a photo taken of a bride swimming in her dress is stunning - especially if there is tulle or organza type fabrics in the dress.
As seen in The Sunday Telegraph (17/01/10) and Cosmopolitan Bride Winter 2010 page 56, the bride donned her $2000 dress and the groom put on his suit and they had a paint fight - the photo is amazing and they look like they had a ball!
The bride will frame the bodice of the paint splattered gown and turn it into a piece of art in their home.
